As many on campus know, the University is in the process of conducting a restoration and renovation  project on the iconic Kirk Memorial building on campus.  Part of that project involved replacing the original cupola with one that would be more weather-resistent and durable.  This gave many a chance to see the original cupola up close, as above, as well as to watch the new cupola being installed (below).  Thanks to Campus Photographer Tim Barcus for making these images available!  For more information, see this biref article (which includes a link to more photos), this article from The Index (Truman's student newspaper), and this web page for more information on the building and the man for whom it was named.
