Organizational Excellence Advisory Group Final Meeting
May 3, 2017Dear Colleagues:
The Organizational Excellence Advisory Group, established to answer core questions designed to guide budget decision making into the future, met for the third and final time on Monday, April 24. Based upon the discussion of the second meeting, the group focused during their 2.5 hour work session on the question, “How should the University be positioned for short-term and long-term sustainability?”
The working session began with a review of the perspectives gathered from the meeting on April 10. The group then focused on the following questions and the materials presented can be found at http://wp-internal.truman.edu/organizationalexcellence/.
- Combining these factors with the Strategic Plan and the work of the Action/Blueprint/Next Step Teams, develop a BOLD statement of what Truman should be as we carve out our new niche of distinction.
- Based upon the bold statements, the Strategic Plan and the work of the Action/Blueprint/Next Step Teams, what should we do to position Truman for short-term (next 2-5 years) and long-term (next 10-15 years) sustainability?
Once again, you, too, are welcome to submit your thoughts for each of the tasks on the Organizational Excellence website. These recommendations and how they will guide resource allocation discussion into the future will be discussed at the Strategic Planning and Assessment Workshop (SPAW) this August.
My sincere appreciation goes out to all who were involved in the process. From the group members to the scribes to the ITS staff, it was a collaborative, focused and productive effort and Truman will be even better because of the good work of these individuals!
Best regards,
Sue
