Samantha Barnhart and Tia Sarkar were elected as the 2017 inductees to Truman’s selective Alpha Iota Lambda chapter of Theta Alpha Kappa (TAK), the national honor society for religious studies. Currently Truman’s chapter has twenty-five student members, twenty-one of whom have graduated. TAK is the only Honor Society dedicated to recognizing academic excellence in baccalaureate students who have demonstrated scholarly achievement in the field of religious studies. Red honor cords and TAK Certificates were presented at this year’s May 10th TAK reception organized by Dr. Mark Appold, Truman’s TAK Moderator.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
