Congratulations to Thu Duong (left), the winner in the 2012 KME Integration Bee held this past Saturday!  Matt Davis (middle) took second place and Kailong Mao (right) finished third.

The spring Texas Hold ‘Em tournament will take place on Friday, March 30th, 6 – 9 p.m. in the VH commons.  Pizza and prizes!

As part of an MAA Pi Day fundraiser, Dr. Guffey got to eat some pi(e) without using any hands.  Jarret Choney (left) provided some assistance though.

Congratulations to Miguel Fernandez.  His poster “Geometry of Surfaces with Density” is an Outstanding Presentation award winner.  His poster placed among the top 15% of the poster presentations at the 2012 Joint Mathematics Meetings Undergraduate Poster Session. Miguel is also a candidate for the Goldwater Scholarship this year.
