Christensen Award for his article \u201c\u2018Watch Adair County Klan Grow\u2019: The Second Ku Klux Klan in Kirksville, Missouri, 1923-25,\u201d which was published in the <em>Missouri Historical Review<\/em> in October 2023. The Christensen prize is awarded to the best article on a Missouri history topic published during each calendar year.
