The award includes a prize of $150 and an invitation to revise the essay for publication in the association&#8217;s journal <em>Pennsylvania History: A Journal of Mid-Atlantic Studies<\/em>. Award recipients are also encouraged to attend the association&#8217;s fall conference to speak about their scholarship.
