The U.S. Department of State is calling on university students across the United States to showcase their potential to be America\u2019s next great \u201cpolicy wonk.\u201d We recognize the growing role young people are playing in shaping the global agenda and want to continue to leverage those fresh perspectives.<\/p>\n<p>Students are invited to submit a policy proposal addressing a specific international challenge that requires attention and a nuanced solution in the form of a short \u201cTEDTalk style\u201d video. Finalists will be brought to Washington, D.C. to pitch their proposed policy for a panel of Department of State officials at the second annual <strong>Wonk Tank<\/strong>\u00a0finals on April 7, 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Applications will be open from<strong> November 10, 2016 until February 3, 2017<\/strong>\u00a0on this page.
