Based on his experience with the World Bank and other institutions he will discuss ever-changing approaches to international development and how they have either failed or succeeded. He will also reflect on the joys and sorrows of a career in international development and offer guidance for students contemplating going into one.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The talk is presented in conjunction with the Center for Academic Excellence. The Global Issues Colloquium is possible thanks to support from the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Office and the Office of Interdisciplinary Studies.
