Andrea Nate and Sergio Escobar taught a $1 salsa lesson at Geno\u2019s, the local 70\u2019s dance club, with all proceeds going toward Truman\u2019s brand new Club \u00d1. The lesson was then followed by Geno\u2019s monthly Latino Night, in which a DJ plays a blend of traditional music from all around the Spanish-speaking world, ranging from flamenco pop to bachata to salsa to merengue to cumbia. It was a great opportunity for students to mingle with the (semi)local latino community members from Kirksville and the surrounding areas.\u00a0 Truman and A.T. Still students were able to practice their conversational Spanish while showing off their freshly minted dance skills.
