Pascal Brice has served as the Director-General of OFPRA (French Office for the Protection of Refugees and Stateless Persons) since December 2012. He is overseeing OFPRA at a time when asylum claims are rising in France and tensions are growing in Europe over the issue. In response to this pressure, OFPRA is expanding its presence in France, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Under Mr. Brice’s direction, OFPRA is modernizing and scaling up its operations; over the past few years, its workforce has doubled to more than 800 officials.
