Student research

Sophomore Classics major, Joe Slama, will be traveling to Toronto, Canada in January 2017 to attend the annual meeting of the Society for Classical Studies, a prestigious international organization.  There, Joe will present his Classical reception paper entitled “Harry Potter and the Descent to the Underworld: Katabasis in the Final Installment of Rowling’s Septology,” the results of research which he originally developed in the course Roman Civilization.
