Truman FLAM Award Winners

October 11, 2022

Truman State was well-represented last weekend at the Foreign Language Association of Missouri (FLAM) annual conference held at Washington University in St. Louis, October 7th – 9th. Alumna Kathleen Placke and Claire Viviano each won scholarship funds to attend the conference (both Spanish MAE). Kathleen also gave an engaging PD workshop on the PACE model for implicit grammar instruction. As well, alumna Abby Gunn-Hibbard (French MAE) won an award for Outstanding Future Foreign Language Instructor.

Graduate students Miranda Forbes, Emma Guenther, Natalie Vance (all Spanish MAE) and Wolf Wheeler (French MAE) were in attendance with Dr. Stacy Davis and Dr. Erin Joyce.

Truman graduate students continue to represent the best of our CML and ED programs.
