Annual Conference of the Foreign Language Association of Missouri Annual Conference
January 13, 2011Truman State University was well represented at the Annual Conference of the Foreign Language Association of Missouri Annual Conference held in October 2010 at the Lodge of the Four Seasons.
Thirteen current and former students in the Master of Arts in Education program as well as three faculty members attended the conference. Brandi Moeller Pruente, French teacher at Truman High School in Independence, gave a presentation titled La Belgique: Sa Langue, Sa Culture et Sa Beauté. Dr. Carol Marshall and Dr. Timothy Farley gave a presentation focused on designing thematic units based on their collaboration in the MAE program. Farley also gave a presentation on using French radio podcasts in the classroom. Dr. Gregg Siewert lead a roundtable discussion of teaching ideas for the French classroom. Nita Shipp, Moberly, currently serves as the Region III (northeast Missouri) Representative to the FLAM executive board.
