<\/a><\/p>\n

We recently received some great news from alumnus Galen Gibson-Cornell (Studio Art: Printmaking) who is finishing up his MFA in Printmaking at the University of Wisconsin–Madison.  His MFA exhbition will open on April 13th, 2013 (see poster above for more details) in Madison, he has an exhibition of his work in Florence, Italy at the Santa Reparata International School of Art, and he will graduate in May!<\/p>\n

In August of this year, he has been selected to receive a very competitive and coveted Fulbright Fellowship in the Arts, to Hungary.  While there, he will be based in Budapest and will:  work with art students at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts;  create a series of prints alongside master printers at the Art Union of Hungarian Etchers and Lithographers;  and work at Printa, a screen-printing workshop and gallery. He will also have a solo show at Galleria IX in Budapest in May 2014 to showcase the project and will be establishing an on-going printmaking exchange between students at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts and at UW-Madison. <\/p>\n
