{"id":296,"date":"2009-08-23T09:05:00","date_gmt":"2009-08-23T09:05:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.truman.edu\/art\/2009\/08\/23\/faculty-accomplishments\/"},"modified":"2009-08-23T09:05:00","modified_gmt":"2009-08-23T09:05:00","slug":"faculty-accomplishments","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.truman.edu\/art\/2009\/08\/23\/faculty-accomplishments\/","title":{"rendered":"Recent Faculty Accomplishments"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The art faculty participated in a group show, <em>Truman State University Faculty Invitational Show<\/em> &#8211; Art Gallery, Indian Hills Community College, Ottumwa, Iowa<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <strong>John Bohac<\/strong> is currently working on a new body of work.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <strong>Julia DeLancey<\/strong> presented at:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Continuity, Conflict, and Change in Indian Cultures and Societies<\/em>, Asian Studies Development Program Workshop, Johnson County Community College September 18 \u2013 19, 2008. <\/li>\n<li><em>Mapping Color: color sellers in the urban fabric of Renaissance Venice<\/em>, Renaissance Society of America Annual Conference, Chicago (invited paper), April 2008 <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#8211; <strong>Matt Derezinski<\/strong> exhibited works in 27 exhibits from local, national and international competitions including the Salmagundi Club \u2013 NY, NY; Williamsburg Art &amp; Historical Center \u2013Brooklyn, NY; Mystic Art Center &#8211; Mystic, Connecticut; Limerick Printmakers Studio and Gallery \u2013 Limerick, Ireland and a traveling exhibit to Milan, Italy. Was published in <em>Best of Photography<\/em> 28th Annual 2008 by <em>Photographer\u2019s Forum<\/em> Magazine. Received second at <em>17th Annual Juried Photography Competition<\/em> in St. Simons Island, Georgia.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; A<strong>aron Fine<\/strong> received a summer research grant to study political graphics in Mumbai.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <strong>Priya Kambli<\/strong> returns from sabbatical and has recently received&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>PhotoLucida 2008 Book Award Winner,<\/em> Portand, Oregon <\/li>\n<li>2009- 2010 Artist-In- Residence, Light Work, Syracuse, NY <\/li>\n<li>2008 &#8211; 2010 Midwest Photographers Project, Museum Of Contemporary Photography, Chicago, IL <\/li>\n<li>2008 -2009 <em>Flat Files<\/em>, Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis, MO <\/li>\n<li>2009 Solo Show, <em>Color Falls Down<\/em>, SRO Photo Gallery, Texas Tech University, Lubbock, TX<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#8211; <strong>Jim Jereb <\/strong>has been invited to exhibit prints in Oni&#039;, Japan and has served as Guest Curator at two museums in Wyoming and Colorado.
