{"id":129,"date":"2012-10-03T08:26:00","date_gmt":"2012-10-03T08:26:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.truman.edu\/art\/2012\/10\/03\/proficiency-portfolios-this-week\/"},"modified":"2012-10-03T08:26:00","modified_gmt":"2012-10-03T08:26:00","slug":"proficiency-portfolios-this-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.truman.edu\/art\/2012\/10\/03\/proficiency-portfolios-this-week\/","title":{"rendered":"Proficiency portfolios this week!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n<a class=\"asset-img-link\" href=\"http:\/\/concept.typepad.com\/.a\/6a010536573dde970b017ee3eb378c970d-pi\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Photo\" border=\"0\" class=\"asset  asset-image at-xid-6a010536573dde970b017ee3eb378c970d image-full\" src=\"http:\/\/concept.typepad.com\/.a\/6a010536573dde970b017ee3eb378c970d-800wi\" title=\"Photo\" \/><\/a><br \/><em>Photo Credit: Kelsey Wiskirchen<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The walls of the Art wing of Ophelia Parrish (OP) this week are full of portfolios being displayed by students who have completed the four courses that make up the Foundations program in Art at Truman.&#160; Students who have completed Drawing I and II and Design I and II submit five pieces, one from each course, and then a &quot;fifth piece&quot; of their choice that can have come from any of those courses.&#160; Students also submit an Artist Statement to accompany their portfolio.&#160; During this week, Art faculty members will be reviewing the portfolios and meeting with students to discuss how students are doing.
