Attend Homecoming Oct. 9-11October 5, 2015
All students, alumni, families, and friends are welcome to participate in Homecoming, one of Truman State University’s oldest traditions.
Students have planned a week-long celebration, featuring the ever-popular Lip Sync Contest, and the Student Activities Board is bringing Cirque Zuma Zuma, an African-style Cirque show, to campus.
A fun-filled Homecoming weekend will feature signature events ranging from a tailgate, to the parade, to Bulldog sporting events.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of Vincent Price’s 1985 Homecoming visit to Truman, and the Homecoming line-up includes a Charity Dinner and Presentation on Oct. 8 in honor of the late film legend. Price performed at Truman more than any other university in the country and established the Vincent Price Theatrical Performance Scholarship at Truman – a legacy which still benefits students to this day.
In addition, this season the Truman is celebrating 50 Years of Bulldog Wrestling and invites all alumni and friends to join in on the celebration with special activities during Homecoming.
Other Homecoming highlights include the Golden Alumni Class Reunion, Golden Alumni 50-Year Anniversary Diploma Ceremony, Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, department and organization receptions and much more.
