7 New Directors Auditioning For 7 Different One Act Plays
The Directing Class will be holding auditions for the Spring 2013 One Act Festival. Auditions Monday, March 18th at 6:30 pm in the Ophelia Parrish Black Box Theatre on the 2nd floor. All Truman students are encouraged to audition. Every audition is limited to 60 seconds in which to demonstrate to the directors what their talents are. Performers are encouraged to creatively engage their bodies, their voices and their imaginations in order to be considered. Any text may be used or devised for the audition. Examples include but are not limited to monologues from plays, poems, prose, comedic sketches, back of a cereal box, etc. Auditioners are allowed to team up for the audition and will be allowed to add their allotted time together.
Callbacks will be held on Tuesday, March 19 and Wednesday, March 20. Cast lists will be posted on Thursday, March 21 on the bulletin board outside OP 1331. Performances are Thursday, May 2 and Friday, May 3 at 8:00 pm.
