The actuarial profession is consistently ranked as a top-rated job (http://www.beanactuary.com/about/best_job.cfm).  Most practicing actuaries today have a degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance or Economics.  The Actuarial Science minor consists of the coursework needed to pursue this profession.

Molly Dieckman and Lee Jones are Truman alumni working as Actuarial Analysts for Towers Watson in St. Louis.  Towers Watson is a global professional services firm helping organizations around the world optimize performance through effective people, risk and financial management.  The firm provides innovative solutions to client issues in areas of human resource strategy, design and management; actuarial and management consulting to the financial services industry; and reinsurance intermediary services.
