Tips & Tricks: Sticky notes on your desktop

January 29, 2007

Did you know you can post virtual sticky notes on your desktop with Outlook? Here’s how:

  1. On the File menu, point to New, and then click Note.
  2. Type the text of the note.
  3. To close the note, click the × in the upper-right corner of the note.

If you don’t use Outlook, there are a few free sticky note programs here and here. In Mac OS X Tiger, press F12 and you’ll see Stickies is a preinstalled Dashboard widget.
