This spring, Truman State University held its first ever celebration of Holi, the Hindu festival of colors and love. The festival was sponsored by Namaste Nepal, a student organization at Truman State and was a fun and engaging way for Truman students to learn about Nepali culture. If you didn’t see our last Holi post, check out the photo gallery!
This celebration brings out the beauty and love seen in Nepali culture, and shows how something so simple can bring people together. We here at Truman’s Center for International students believe it’s important now more than ever to take this love and channel it towards positivity. With the recent earthquake tragedy which struck Nepal, and reconstruction being an ongoing process, the country is still in great need of aid. You can help by making a donation at redcross.org, and by keeping public awareness of Nepal alive.
Stay Strong Nepal!
