Three School of Business students graduated from The Boeing FLITE (Future Leaders in Thought & Experience) internship program on August 2. The interns are Mariah Thompson, Michael Williams, and Michelle Phung. FLITE is an inclusive Business internship opportunity offered to rising sophomores at Saint Louis University, Truman State University, University of Missouri – St. Louis, and Howard University who are actively pursuing a degree in business or a related field. This 10 week program takes place from mid-May to early August. During this time, students have the opportunity to gain real-world work experience with the world’s leading aerospace company. The students work Monday through Thursday and participate in professional development activities on Friday. Excel training, interview skills, simulations, and tours are all part of the professional development days. Students live on the University of Missouri – St. Louis campus during the internship period.
Three Truman FLITE alumni attended the graduation ceremony and helped to coordinate internship activities during the summer. The FLITE alumni are Waymon White (’16), Tiffany Middlemas (Truman junior), and Mallory Ogbomo (’15).
